With a tropical rainforest climate Kuala Lumpur's temperature is constant throughout the year, within the range of 23°C early in the morning to 32°C during the day. The monsoon/ rainy season is officially from October to March, however in the remaining months you can expect some heavy rainfall as well. Throughout the year it is nice and sunny in Kuala Lumpur.
Malaysian Ringgit (RM) – Travelers cheques and foreign currencies can be changed for Malaysian Ringgit at banks and hotels. Money changer kiosks are available at major shopping complexes and airport. Most major hotels charge a nominal fee for currency conversion. ATM machines are plentiful and located just about everywhere in Kuala Lumpur.
Visitors must possess a valid passport or other internationally recognised travel documents endorsed for travelling to Malaysia, with a validity period of at least six (6) months beyond the time of stay allowed in Malaysia.
Standard Malaysian Time is 8 hours ahead of GMT (GMT+8).
Voltage is 220 – 240 Volt AC at 50 cycles per second, adaptable to standard 3-pin square plugs and socket.

A Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is required from all visitors or delegates (Malaysians and Foreigners) coming from or going to/through countries with risk of Yellow Fever transmission (As stated in International Health Regulations 2005 and Prevention and Control of Infectious Disease Act 1988). Yellow fever vaccination is also required for travellers having transited more than 12 hours through the airport of a country with risk of yellow fever transmission. Travellers or delegates without a valid Yellow Fever vaccination certificate shall be quarantined upon arrival in Malaysia. Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that all delegates take out their own travel and medical insurance prior to coming to the Conference. The policy should include loss of fees/ deposit through cancellation of your participation in the meeting, or through cancellation of the meeting itself, loss of airfares for any reason, medical expenses, loss or damage to personal property, additional expenses and repatriation should travel arrangements have to be altered. Neither the meeting secretariat nor the organising committee will take any responsibility for any participant failing to insure. Please speak to your travel agent or airline regarding this matter.
Most visitors arrive at either Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA Terminal 1), Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA Terminal 2) which are both located approximately 58km away from the city centre.
A non-stop high-speed train that takes 28 to 33 minutes from KLIA terminals to KL Sentral. Upon arrival at the KL Sentral Transportation Hub, take a Grab Car (book via Grab App) or Taxi to your hotel.
